Answered By Bailey Alberello, Editor Different backpack manufacturers use different types of fabric material according to concept designs and purpose. - G-30 Fabric is 75 percent lighter than other fabrics injected with silicone causing it to stretch under pressure instead of tearing or locking together. - G-70 Fabric is twice stronger than G-30 appropriate for environment demanding higher strength and durability. - 140 Denier Dyneema balances weight and strength. It uses polyethylene fibers having a structure similar to a diamond giving high tenacity from tearing and abrasive factor. - 210 Denier high Tenacity Nylon is the major material on the backpacks main body providing perfect balance on high tear strength, lightweight, waterproofness and resistance to abrasions. - 420 Denier High Tenacity Dyna Tech Nylon are used in backpack parts that should have high resistance on abrasions. - 500 Denier High Tenacity Cordura Nylon gives good tear strength and waterproofness. - 630 Denier Super Packcloth is a material made of smooth nylon having equal diameter threads running both vertical and horizontal directions. It is shiny in appearance and slick to the touch.
