Anyone know how to wash a backpack?
Can you answer Joel Y's question about backpacks?:
So, I was going through my school stuff and I find that some soda was spilled on my backpack and now there's a huge mark down the front. Anyone know how to wash this in a washing machine??/ And how can I wash it so that the zippers don't get messed up?

I've always just thrown mine in the wash – it's never been a problem…
turn it inside out when you wash it, is should be fine
turn it inside out, wash it and let it dry outside on the line, or just hang to dry. DO NOT PUT IN THE DRYER!! (as far as the zippers go, what do you think is on your jeans?)
Check and see if there is a label in it, and see if there is anything special you need to do. If not put some detergent on the stain and rub it in, put it in the washer on gently and when its done, either put it in the dryer or hang it out to dry, When you take it out of the dryer, make sure that the inside is good and dry, check it out.
empty your book bag and wash it in cold water in the wash machine on a lite load. u can even turn it inside out and wash it if u want then throw it in the dryer on a low heat setting… it will turn out just fine…
Just throw it in the washer with a few other items. I hang ours on the back porch in the sun to dry. Never had a problem with the zippers.
I think they can be washed in the washing machine maybe try the gentle cycle.
Wrong side out in cold gentle cycle with 1/2 cup baking soda and that way it won't get destroyed. Make sure you wash it by itself though cause the zippers could damage other clothing and the straps could get tangled into other stuff as well.
