Does a backpack work any muscles in your body?
Can you answer Melody L's question about backpacks?:
I have a darn heavy backpack, and I'm just wondering if it works out any part of my body, or just strains my muscles. I don't lift weights, but I swear that thing can get up to at least 15 lbs.

Anytime you add weight to your body you are working the muscles a little harder than normal. Your backpack will mostly likely affect your upperbody muscles, your back muscles, and even your leg muscles. Probably not enough to build muscle though.
Sure. It works your legs, carrying the extra weight, and your lower back to keep your posture correct. Maybe your shoulders a bit if you have to "shrug" them to keep it on.
